Lauren’s Day!

In August 2021, Lauren Metlock shared an idea with Theo. Lauren wanted to create an event providing mental health-related programming, art projects, and community to celebrate young people with incarcerated loved ones and uplift their mental and emotional needs. Though life events tragically precluded Lauren from being able to implement her vision, Generative Chaos, in partnership with the Coalition to Decarcerate Illinois collaborated to give a home to Lauren’s vision. We hope to grow this garden in Lauren’s honor.

Gratitude to Lauren Metlock’s family and loved ones, our community of grillmasters, parents, partners, healers, co-conspirators, and friends. Thank you for supporting Lauren’s vision.
